India and France Enter Defense AI Collaboration

India and France have signed an agreement to co-develop AI technologies for defense, including autonomous drones, battlefield surveillance, and secure communications. A joint R&D facility will open near Paris with Indian startups and scientists participating. The initiative enhances India’s Push for indigenous defense tech and features semiannual prototype reviews. Early projects include machine-translated field commands and intelligent threat detectors.
